S3 Ep86: Steve Rodrigues: Living with Liver Disease

In this episode we chat to the wonderful Steve Rodrigues who talks to us about living with hepatic encephalopathy. Steve is a normal bloke who's drinking ramped up after a change in his work circumstances. He started drinking more at home, and eventually he ended up in hospital. He talks to us about how lucky he is to be here, and what it's like to now live with liver disease on a day-to-day basis. He is an incredibly brave man who tells his story in the hope that it helps others - he doesn't want people to get to the stage he got to with alcohol. Before we started recording Steve told us that nothing was off the table, because when he was in the grips of alcohol he hid - and now being honest about everything is incredibly important to him. Steve is an active volunteer with the British Liver Trust.
