#Waterkant19: Podcast Nr.1

Wohooo, please lend us your ear for our very first edition of the Waterkant Podcast, introducing and taking a look behind the scenes of our www.waterkant.sh Future Festival in Kiel! To strenghten further exchange and cooperation with Scandinavia we visited Aarhus, Kiel' Sister City. And we can tell you – we had a blast! Check out our Instagram Account for a short documentary of our trip :) First, we were welcomed at INCUBA Startuplab and were amazed about their 70 startups throughout the city. These teams work in their facilities and are enjoying their mutual support and guidance. Next stop: Kaospilots HIVE, run by the #Waterkant18 speaker Jesper Krogh Kjeldsen. He reminded us, what it means to be an Entrepreneur: "We are not Rockstars as many in Denmark call us. We just should be humble and use our potential to help those in need of support. No matter if it is paid or not from the beginning." Next, at Filmby plus Ideas Lab, we entered a whole universe of creativity and we invited the Virtual Reality solutions startup @goniovr, who were us at #Waterkant18 as well, plus @eddievisuals and @mannddk for this year. All of them have the passion and skills to tackle important questions of our time like our use of social media or fast fashion, and also showing possible solutions, how to help elderly people staying healthy with the use of VR by goniovr. Our last stop was at the Stibo Acclerator and it could'nt be better! The Head of Innovation, Kim Svendson, explained how their process of imagining the future works. Take a problem from a company, search for curious people, who would like to work on it and empower crazy ideas. "The edgier the idea seems to be, the more all of us could learn from it. And even if just 2 from 10 ideas work in the end, neither the company nor the students could have been more connected throughout the process". Four Schleswig Holstein based startups plus one initiative (Comfnet Solutions, Twopare, Citylock, Elbwalker + IfGameSH) accompanied our journey. They are pretty sure to stay in contact with the girls and guys we met in Aarhus as well as with each other to maintain and deepen the connections.
