In January, Nate Wilkins, a former Navy SEAL, announced his run for Congress in California’s 50th Congressional District. Nate, a father of two and committed Christian, offers insight and encouragement for anyone wanting to get involved in the culture and make a difference—even when the odds are against you. Nathan Wilkins, former Coronado based Navy SEAL, has just announced his candidacy as a Republican running for a seat in California’s 50th Congressional District. Currently working in the House of Representatives as an Innovation Fellow, Wilkins has always held a passion to serve his community and his country, first as a SEAL and now as a congressional candidate. Wilkins is passionate about the sanctity of the traditional family unit, protection of unborn children, community safety and preserving virtue in our current school system. As a veteran he understands what it means to defend the United States; a country in which opportunity abounds for all, particularly without heavy handed government control. He is passionate about his beliefs and thrives in serving those around him. Born and raised in Reedley, California, Wilkins is familiar with California policy. Similarly, joining the Navy in 2007 brought him to San Diego where he remained active duty until 2018. He is currently serving the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Minority staff, supporting on technology and cybersecurity issues. Nathan is married to Lindsay Wilkins and together they have two children.
