Today’s word of the day is ‘tanking’ as in tearing it down as in restart as in losing games to reset it all as in the Cincinnati Reds and Oakland Athletics have traded away big salary players for a prospects. The Reds gave up on All Star Jesse Winker so they could dump Eugenio Suarez salary to the Seattle Mariners. The Athletics traded Matt Olson to the Atlanta Braves. Wasn’t the CBA supposed to address this? That’s what the experts said (not us!). It is business as usual. (19:25) Fernando Tatis Jr. has fractured his wrist. He is out 3 months. Reportedly, he did this in a motorcycle crash. Wonderful. (31:30) Review: Dopesick. (40:00) NPPOD. (40:25) Freddie Freeman will not be an Atlanta Brave anymore. The Braves traded for Matt Olson. It’s a new era in Atlanta. Fans are infuriated. Was it a smart move? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
