Episode #20 // Dalia Dippolito and the attempted murder of Michael Dippolito In August 2009, Dalia Dippolito's worst nightmare would come true. On that morning, she had gone to the gym, but she got a message from a weird number. She listened to the voicemail. It was man’s voice, telling her something was wrong at her condo and she needed to get home right away. Soon after, Dalia would arrive home. The condo was surrounded by police cars, and police tape, and investigators combing the area. Dalia tried to get inside her condo, but police wouldn’t let her inside. They broke the news to her that they’re had been a shooting, and her husband hadn’t made it. Dalia immediately broke into hysterics. Police were unable to console her, so they just lead her to a car, and take her down to the station to get her statement. But there at the police station, Dalia would not be able to believe her eyes, when she sees Michael, alive and well. Dalia would be charged with the murder for hire of her husband of less than 6 months.
