The Week Ahead – 14 April 2022

In this episode of our Week Ahead series, we’ll be looking at the main themes that will drive global markets over the coming week. In the US, we'll be watching for any signs of a slowdown in flash Markit US PMIs and the US housing sector. Whilst Fedspeak will likely set the stage for a 50bp rate hike and a balance sheet runoff announcement. In Europe we'll be tracking how survey data react to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, French election polls and the potential for more party gate fines for Boris Johnson. We then have lockdowns in China to discuss, the key data and current state of Global energy markets too.
