*German Below* Summer Sum Up is a Podcast by Michelle Koprow and Laura-Marie Preßmar (Koprow&Preßmar) in which we talk to artists about their work that they are presenting at the This Is Not Lebanon Festival and Sommerbau. For the first episodes we will talk to artists from the This Is Not Lebanon Festival, those episodes will be in English. The other episodes will be featuring artists who show their work at Sommerbau and those episodes will be in German. In this episode we talk to Ghada Sayegh. After doing her Ph.D. in Film Studies at Paris Nanterre University, she is now working at the Institute of Scenic, Audiovisual and Cinematographic Studies at Saint Joseph University, Beirut. During the This Is Not Lebanon Festival she held a workshop for the PERFORMING SOLIDARITY Academy and participated in a panel of the public Discourse Program together with artist Lamia Joreige. Withing this panel, she read a series of fragmentary poems titled “The End of the World has Already Occurred” that she started writing after the explosion in Beirut in August 2020. In den ersten Folgen, werden wir mit Künstler*innen vom This Is Not Lebanon Festival sprechen. Diese Folgen werden auf Englisch sein. Die anderen Folgen, in denen wir mit Künstler*innen sprechen, die ihre Arbeiten im Sommerbau-Programm zeigen, werden auf Deutsch sein. In dieser Folge sprechen wir mit Ghada Sayegh. Nachdem sie ihren Doktor in Film Studies an der Universität Paris Nanterre absolvierte arbeitet sie nun am Institute of Scenic, Audiovisual and Cinematographic Studies der Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Während des This Is Not Lebanon Festivals hat sie einen Workshop im Rahmen der PERFORMING SOLIDARITY Akademie gegeben und gemeinsam mit der Künstlerin Lamia Joreige in einem Panel des Diskursprogramms gesprochen. Dort las sie aus ihrer Reihe fragmentarischer Gedichte mit dem Titel „Das Ende der Welt hat bereits stattgefunden“, welche sie nach der Explosion am Beiruter Hafen im August 2020 zu schreiben begann.
