SummerSumUp – Folge 02 – mit Rabih Mroué
*German Below* Summer Sum Up is a Podcast by Michelle Koprow and Laura-Marie Preßmar (Koprow&Preßmar) in which we talk to artists about their work that they are presenting at the This Is Not Lebanon Festival and Sommerbau. For the first episodes we will talk to artists from the This Is Not Lebanon Festival, those episodes will be in English. The other episodes will be featuring artists who show their work at Sommerbau and those episodes will be in German. Our second guest is Rabih Mroué. He is not only one of the co-curators of the This Is Not Lebanon Festival but is also going to show his lecture performance “Before Falling Seek the Assistance of Your Crane” at the big open air stage Sommerbau. He is a is a Lebanese stage and film actor, playwright, and visual artist. Rooted in theater, his work includes videos and installation art; the latter sometimes incorporates photography, text and sculpture. Die anderen Folgen, in denen wir mit Künstler*innen sprechen, die ihre Arbeiten im Sommerbau-Programm zeigen, werden auf Deutsch sein. Unser zweiter Gast ist Rabih Mroué. Er ist nicht nur einer der Ko-Kurator*innen des This Is Not Lebanon Festivals, er wird zudem seine Lecture-Performance “Before Falling Seek the Assistance of Your Crane” auf der großen Openair-Bühne des Mousonturms, dem Sommerbau, zeigen. Mroué ist ein libanesischer Bühnen- und Filmschauspieler, Autor und bildender Künstler. Verwurzelt im Theaterbereich, greifen seine Arbeiten in zahlreiche andere Disziplinen über. Zu seinen Werken zählen Videos und Installationskunst; vor allem letztere beinhalten zudem Fotografie, Texte und Skulpturen.
