At the end of your contract, what happens next will depend on what you want - and what your landlord wants. It can feel like a scary time, but it’s important to remember you have options. You could renew your contract, which could involve a rent increase. Or, your tenancy may become periodic (no fixed end date). While this can provide you with flexibility, it works both ways, and the landlord could end this without much notice.
