How to Invest into Stocks for Beginners? (5 Steps to success) Hey Guys, Ben here from Motivation 2 invest. i've received a number of questions from you guys asking for a REAL beginners  video to help you get started investing into stocks & BE SUCCESSFUL at it.  Thus in this video i'm going to give you my 5 steps to getting started.  1. Have a Financial Goal.  Like anything in life it's best to start with WHY? What is your motivation? In the word's of the Legendary Investor Warren Buffett  "If you don't learn to make your money work for you while you  sleep you will work until you die" To me that is a really POWERFUL motivator as traditional Schools  Teach people how to work for money but not how to make your  money work for you.  --------------- Remember INVESTING IS A TOOL (Slide)  To help you achieve your financial goals that could be to retire early, become fiancially free young or even buy a new house or car. You goal is personal to you.  ** 2. Understand your Risk Tolerance What is your risk tolerance? Would you get nervous if you invested into a stock & it dropped by 20-30%. Would you be tempted to panic & sell during a market crash? These are only questions you can answer but If you want to be successful in the stock market you need to remember that RISK IS NOT VOLATILITY. Volatility is how much a stock moves up & down over a given period. Risk is the likelihood of loss of investment.  Thus despite the stock market being VOLATILE as in the SHORT TERM IT IS POWERED by the collective EMOTIONS of FEAR  & GREED. In the LONG TERM THE STOCK MARKET IS A WEIGHING MACHINE based on Companies fundamentals. Thus despite the multiple crashes we have seen over many years from the dot com bubble in 1999 to the financial crisis in 2008 & even the global health crisis crash in 2020...the stock market has crashed & risen again. --- In the words of the great investor Howard Marks "MOST OF THE TIME THE WORLD doesn't end & if it does...you will have bigger things to worry about. ---- In fact market crashes are the base time to invest in quality companies as they  are usually trading at a discount due to bad sentiment. In the words of the legendary investor Warren Buffett: "Be fearful when others are greedy & greedy when others are fearful" ----- On Motivation 2 invest  My Motto is "VOLATILITY = Opportunity"  and This was proven during the 2020 stock market crash...
