S11 Ep5: KATYA JONES ON THE POWER OF FEMALE FRIENDSHIP, BEING SINGLE, SHARING HER LIFE ONLINE AND HER PASSION FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Monday Mile goes Down Under! This week, I’ve brought the podcast to sunny Sydney, Australia, and I’m over the moon to share the experience with my best friend in the world – returning Monday Miler Katya Jones. You’ll know her best as a professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing – and, you know, being generally all over my feed 💃   We spent an unreal three-week adventure together, hitting five different places in India and then Sydney. Of course, we had to squeeze in a pod. We chat about the strength of our friendship, looking back over the impact we’ve had on each other’s lives since meeting years ago. Katya and I really do have a transformative bond, best shown by how her passion for sustainability has influenced me. We share clothes, we shop second-hand – things I never would have done years ago!   Katya’s a special person and I’m lucky I get to see the real her 💕 We talk about whether she might want to show more of that to the world too, reflecting on her choice to be private online. Though we’re both single and thriving independently, we also chat about aging and our ticking maternal clocks – right before we hit the town to meet our husbands, of course.   This episode is so special to me. An open honest and raw conversation between two best friends, with us taking a moment to appreciate each other and celebrate our learnings. We’re each other’s cheerleaders and to have that unconditional support from a friendship is very special ❤️   Listen on all podcast platforms or watch on YouTube   #mondaymile #katyajones #strictlycomedancing #strictly
