When Medical marijuana was legalized in the 90s, this created a “green rush” of traveling workers, profitable farms, and more dangerous people looking to turn a buck on the grey and black markets. An area known as Murder Mountain had a reputation for violence and more dangerous individuals. Following the 2012 disappearance and murder of Garret Rodriguez, the mountain would soon be filled with more crime, a lack of investigation, and outlaw justice.
