332: Young Girl Goes Missing, Parents Suspected of Murder & An "Imposter" Emerges: The Mary Day Case

Mile Higher - Ein Podcast von Mile Higher Media & Audioboom Studios - Donnerstags

On a July night in 1983, 13-year-old Mary Louise Day disappeared from her family’s home on a military base in Seaside, California. As her siblings grew older, they began to ask questions of their parents about what had actually happened to their older sister, but they were met with a refusal even to say Mary’s name. In 2002, Seaside police finally looked into the case and discovered that William Houle, Mary’s stepfather, may have done something to the little girl and kept it a secret for 19 years. Then, just as investigators were building their case, a routine traffic stop in Phoenix, Arizona, turned the entire case on its head: Mary Day was alive.
