E13: Gary Mabbutt MBE

Joining Kieran on the podcast this week is a true Tottenham legend in former FA Cup winning captain Gary Mabbutt. Moving to Spurs in August 1982, Gary went on to make 611 appearances for the club in a 16 year span, 11 of which he spent as the team captain. He quickly became the foundation of many great Spurs teams down the years. His honours include UEFA Cup and FA Cup wins. In addition to his successes at Tottenham, Gary also became the first ever diabetic to play for England. During the episode we discuss some of his greatest memories from his time at White Hart Lane.

Om Podcasten

The Memory Lane Podcast takes a nostalgic look at this grand old team's illustrious past times in the eyes of us, the fans. We also dive into the current talking points surrounding the club. I'm Kieran, host of the show. I have been lucky enough to travel all over Europe supporting Tottenham Hotspur, with my family and friends for the past 15 years. Over that time the travels helped me realise that the real beauty of football runs so much deeper than just collecting silverware and hopefully this podcast will help to explain why. Memory Lane will be focusing on Spurs's history with a sprinkle of the current times. We'll be chatting about some of the funniest, most memorable trips and moments my guests and I have had while following Spurs. Each episode will take a look at a different topic. Keep an eye out for chats on specific decades, famous games and goals, former players, recent matches, eventful trips and even more eventful managerial eras. I'd love for you to join me on the journey. #COYS Twitter: https://twitter.com/MemoryLanePod Youtube: https://tinyurl.com/MemorylaneYoutube Instagram: https://tinyurl.com/Memorylaneinsta
