He also advises the New York and Dallas Federal Reserves and has managed 7 funds worth more than $500b. He was formerly on the US President’s Board of Systemic Risk and managed US private, public, endowment, and hedge funds. Prior to his current role, he was the CIO for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas and prior to that served as CEO for Bridgewater Associates. He has been consistently named one of the top five asset investors in the world, and in 2013, he was honored with a lifetime achievement for distinguished service to the financial industry. He is a Distinguished A&M Business School Alumni and currently serves as the Director for the Titans of Investing program at Mays Business School. In addition, he is a frequent speaker on various spiritual matters and serves on a variety of public and private boards. Britt has been married 40 years with four children and three grandkids. He is a fourth-generation Aggie.
