Ten years ago, nature surpassed the most advanced human technologies in one of the most developed countries. At that time, the news of a nuclear accident in Japan shook the world. The tsunami caused by a strong earthquake, which broke into the Fukushima nuclear power plant, damaged the cooling system and was followed by explosions, melting in reactors and a huge release of radiation into water and the atmosphere. Our colleague Ina Strazdiņa talked to Yoshinori Fukushima, Deputy Editor of the newspaper "Mainichi Shimbun".
