Panthers Stuck To Who They Were, And It Paid Off. Series Tied Up at 2!

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) to the show to break down the Panthers' 3-2 OT win over the New York Rangers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final from Amerant Bank Arena. The game saw the Cats come out on top 1:12 into the extra frame after Sam Reinhart delivered on a one-timer in a familiar spot to give the Cats the win and tie the series at 2. The Panthers did not get off to the best of starts as New York was dominating the pace of play in the first 20 minutes, and even took the lead going into the first intermission. After that, it was all Panthers where they got on the scoresheet three seconds after the power play expired thanks to Sam Bennett staying with the play after Igor Shesterkin was out of his net and Bennett hit the puck off the goaltender and in. Panthers cashed in on the power play in that period thanks to Carter Verhaeghe, where he batted the puck in to get the Panthers the lead at the time. After the Rangers scored after an icing, Florida did not allow a shot attempt in over 15 minutes of game time, where also Rangers Coach Peter Laviolette had no answers as to why NYR was pinned in their end as much as they have been. This one needed another OT period as the Panthers have dropped their last 2 postseason games in the extra frame, but it was a hook that Captain Aleksander Barkov drew (which could have also been a penalty shot), but the Panthers power play made quick work to give them the win.
