136. So Much More Than Weight Loss (Part 3)

It’s time to move past your limiting beliefs - they really are just holding you back. Identify what they are, examine why you have them, gather the evidence you need to prove to yourself why these limiting beliefs aren’t true, and then set tangible, measurable goals to move past them finally. Join me in part 3 of my So Much More Than Weight Loss series.   Move Past Limiting Beliefs By: Gaining awareness of what the belief is Gaining evidence of why the belief is not true Set tangible goals   The Problem with Limiting Beliefs Your limiting beliefs are holding you back. These beliefs are more than likely not true; they’re just stories you tell yourself, whether consciously or subconsciously. I want you to challenge yourself to identify these limiting beliefs. Why do you think you have them? Once you’ve identified these beliefs, I want you to gather evidence that proves they’re not true. I discuss some of the ways you can do this – but it really is limitless how you decide to gather this evidence!   Ditch Your Perfectionism I also talk about why you might never get comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone. This doesn’t mean you don’t do it – this means you do it anyway, even if you are uncomfortable. It is absolutely possible to be both uncomfortable and empowered. In fact, I highly recommend it! I think one of the reasons we have a lot of limiting beliefs is that we’re perfectionists. I know it’s true for me. Perfectionism can lead to disappointment when you don’t hit your own mark – which leads to the development of limiting beliefs. I want you to go all in on yourself. I want you to abandon all-or-none thinking. I want you to embrace perfectionism to make lasting, sustainable changes in your life finally. What are some of the limiting beliefs that you have?
