052. "The benefits go far beyond weight loss": Laura

Laura Bonicelli grew up with Italian food in Minnesota. With home-cooked meals and surrounded by a close community, she became a chef. She created a meal delivery service to bring fresh, organic meals to people. Her business allowed her to learn about all kinds of different needs and eating habits, and this led her to develop a meal plan for weight loss. After she closed her own restaurant, she opened her cooking club in order to teach people home cooking.Laura realized that her own diet had become carb-based, with too much cheese and the addition of sneaky sugars. She gained about 50lbs, she had joint pain, and other niggling health issues. So she came up with a formula for herself. Apart from the food, mindfulness is a big part of it. As a food lover, Laura is also a "moderator" who can work with portion control.Once she changed her diet, aside from weight loss, Laura experienced so many benefits: her joint pain went away, her hair became much healthier, her skin improved, her gastro-intestinal problems stopped, her stress was lower, she could wear the clothes she used to 20 years ago, and she became all-round happier. Listen to how Laura is helping others discover the benefits of a whole foods diet.
