90. Is It Time to Take a Sabbatical with Kayla Pennington

Kayla Pennington has spent the last 14 years in HealthCare Technology sales overseeing the relationship with the world’s largest HealthCare Management Company, being the first female and youngest to take on the position. In her role, she led the full strategy for expansion and execution of enterprise software solutions to improve clinical and financial outcomes across healthcare organizations. However, in June 2021, she decided to walk away from the hamster wheel of climbing the corporate ladder to take a year long sabbatical. Kayla has since traveled to multiple countries and is working on finishing all 50 states here in the U.S. Today’s conversation with Kayla is so inspiring; she knew when it was time to take a breather from her career and she shares that journey with us. Instead of saying “soon” she said “now” and left her job. She took the time off to travel now instead of waiting; something she’s always had a passion for.
