We must put our mind in gear so that we do not give ourselves to the deceptions of the devil. Your pursuit of God requires you to do such so you will not conform to any former lusts. The things you gave yourself to in your ignorance are harmful to you now, and so these things should remain in your past. Instead, you should gird up your loins, and rest fully in the grace of God.
