More about today’s guest Carolyn Martin is the co-owner and creative director of Creation, a wine farm in the Hemel-en-Aarde Region of the Western Cape, South Africa. Dynamic, and a champion of innovation, Carolyn is considered a wine and food pairing expert of note. Her passion and the estate’s well-founded reputation for producing fine wine, have culminated in Creation’s position in the top 50 of the World’s Best Vineyards in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 and as number 1 in Africa in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Currently holding the position as number 4 in the world. Creation Wines has also been awarded with the “Best Brand Experience” by V d’Or in 2024.  In 2019 Carolyn was designated a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International, honouring her deep sense of the needs of the community she serves. She works with embassies, corporations and private clients, creating and presenting tastings, events, seminars and in-depth courses. Cynthia is a wine writer, a judge at international wine and sake competitions, she consults with restaurants and enotecas developing comprehensive wine lists and food pairings, and she advises clients who want to curate an Italian wine collection. She currently works for Vinitaly International in Verona as a Project Manager, Educator, and the host of VOICES Series on The Italian Wine Podcast, focusing on diversity and inclusion in the global wine industry.
