The Schools Bill Must Die

In this special episode, Rev'd Jamie Franklin is joined by Wendy Charles-Warner, chair of Education Otherwise, and home educator and freedom fighter Amie Miles to talk about The Schools Bill. The Schools Bill was recently announced in The Queen's Speech and is a horrendously drafted piece of legislation that would destroy the basis for home education in this country. It is an unnecessary assault on the capacity of parents to make decisions for their own families and could in time lead to even more drastic intrusion by the state into parents' relationships with their children. It constitutes yet another area in which the state is arrogating to itself the responsibility and authority to interfere in the private lives of British citizens. Our two guests in this episode are highly informed of these new developments and outline the deeply problematic elements of this new bill and how we all can play a part in making sure that it is killed in the Houses of Parliament before it goes any further. Please share this episode as widely as possible on your social media and with anybody at all who you think might be interested in this development.Education Otherwise - https://www.educationotherwise.orgNotices:Thanks to our Patreon sponsors!
