After appearing on The X Factor (ITV), theatre producer Sonia Friedman invited Karen to audition for the role of Effie White in Dreamgirls.Karen went on to make her West End debut as one of Amber Riley's alternates in the original West End production of Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre.
