What a treat for us, having musician/composer/pioneer Manuel Göttsching up to dublab soon after his first ever performance in Los Angeles. We totally geeked out about analog electronics, his forward-thinking uses of them in the legendary German experimental rock group Ashra Tempel in the 70’s, his experiences creating the E2-E4 piece in the early 80’s (which became a monumental inspiration in the development of late 80’s/early 90’s house music in the U.S.), the cryptic Cosmic Jokers project and so much more. He hasn’t stopped working either, moving into sound installations and film soundtracks.
