041. Finding Jesus pt. 2: Astrology & My Truth in Greater Clarity

Since my episode release on Finding Jesus, I have received more feedback than ever. Given the recent dialogue and the deepening of my spiritual journey, after sitting with and praying on it, I decided to have a follow-up episode for a few reasons. One, I wanted to hold myself accountable for how I may have deployed my initial message. Second, I wanted to talk about making other people responsible for your triggers and why that’s unhealthy. Third, I wanted to provide clarity as to where I am exactly on this path and where I see it going from here. In short, I am not giving up astrology work, nor am I turning on my walk with Christ. Like I always say: MULTIPLE TRUTHS CAN EXIST AT ONCE. That’s what this episode is all about. Do you know how the three wisemen came to realize the birth of Christ? A bright star in the sky. Astrology is one of the most ancient sciences and predates both astronomy and psychology. Jesus himself tells us that there shall be signs in the sun, moon and the stars. The knowledge of astrology must be used with care and with great integrity. I have come to believe that false idolatry is one who seeks absolutes in astrology, relies on it as means to predict the future, or considers it to be the answer in the question of why. Using astrology in place of God, or in ways that negate God altogether, is not the method I recommend in this work.  However, I do believe there is great value in the use of astrology as a tool rather than a lifestyle. Because God gave us free will, we may use astrology to better align in choices that actually honor God as we traverse this human experience, through our dignity, love and greater self-awareness. Astrology does not hold our fate, God does. But astrology does offer a blueprint, which God provides, so that we may build upon that foundation in ways that will ultimately serve God in our lives. We cannot understand the will of God with astrology, nor with anything else, but I do believe that in using astrology as a tool, we may come to understand ourselves better and therefore navigate God’s will with greater self-awareness that allows us to show up in our lives with integrity, compassion, patience, grace, perseverance and faith. This episode lends my perspective as I have swung from one end to the pendulum to the other to now stablalize in the middle where the nuance of life and of truth is found.
