038. Finding Jesus with Alex Appenzeller

There’s no other way to explain what’s happening to me — I am shifting, and shifting quickly, because I have welcomed Jesus Christ into my heart. I am in the midst of a spiritual transformation. The experience has been more rapid in just a short few weeks than in all of the years of “spiritual work” I have done. That’s the power of God. I have always believed in God, but it has always been alongside the belief in “Source energy,” in the “Universe,” in the “spirit guides” and never in God alone, and certainly never in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as integral pieces of my faith. The past few months I have been riddled with anxiety and depression like never before. I have been so confused about my relationship to my beloved, about my path and about my sadness — why do I have these doubts? This fear? This excruciating pain? I feel like I have tried everything. Affirmations. Meditations. Yoga. Mindfulness. Personal development books. Chakras. Magic(k). Cards. Rituals. Life coaches. Spiritual gurus. Law of attraction. Manifestation. Yep, even astrology. But there’s one thing I never tried, until now: opening the Bible. Since opening the Bible, my heart is cracked open and I am replacing “light and love” in my heart with the Holy Spirit. And for the first time in my life… I can genuinely say that I know what authentic peace feels like. In this episode, I connect with my friend Alex Appenzeller while on my trip in Nashville to talk all about Finding Jesus. Alex moved to Nashville when God put it on her heart over a year ago, and I have been continually inspired by her growth in her walk with Christ. We discuss her journey — how she found God, how that relationship formed and has deepened over the past year; how different Christianity is from religion, how Satan is running rampant amongst the collective, how so many people (like myself) are waking up so fast to the power of Scripture, and why we all need to open our hearts to God’s grace & love more than ever.
