Thelma first rose to fame as the winner of the inaugural Triple J’s National Indigenous Unearthed Music Competition ten years ago, in 2012. Only 17 at the time, she established herself as a promising emerging talent and has since become a pioneer for Indigenous representation within media and the music industry. However, it wasn’t until Thelma released her debut album, Better in Blak, that she landed her first ARIA and has since gone on to achieve great success. Today, Thelma is fresh out of two years of lockdowns, has released a new single, been announced as a face of Maybelline New York and is touring the country.
