These spectacular spires sometimes inspire us, and astound us while we stare in awe skyward at their sheer size. Ever since Otis invented the elevator the sky’s the limit when it comes to erecting these iconic towering structures. However, it wasn’t always easy, many lives have been lost and many lessons learned as we build our modern day towers of Babel higher and higher.
