Aideen Ryan is an Irish-born vinyl selector who spent most of her twenties in east London. An avid record collector, she loves browsing second-hand shops and local record stores for treasures from a range of genres around the globe. Aideen is highly influenced by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Andrew Weatherall, with sets span a multitude of genres from AfroBeat and Reggae, to UK Garage and Disco. Now residing in Tāmaki Makaurau she can regularly be found lighting up the dance floor at the new Pitt Street bar SOAP, Rebel Soul Records & AnteSocial in Ponsonby. For this set Aideen selects an uptempo mix of new records in her collection, some of which she picked up at ‘The Other Crate Record Fair’ recently.
