Jose Deustua is the Managing Director of UTEC Ventures. For the last five years, Jose has been investing actively in Peruvian startups with the purpose of creating successful Latam Tech companies. Being an early-stage investor Jose has worked closely with founders to achieve product-market fit and raise funds. Overall, UTEC Ventures portfolio has raised more than US$ 45 million generating a 4x return on investment. Besides his work at UTEC, Jose was also part of the founding team and past president of the Peru Venture Capital Association and is a regular writer for Peru’s top business newspaper Gestion.
