Ep 75: Sophie Eastaugh, BBC, NPR and CNN. iPhone filmmaker and more!

Sophie Eastaugh is a reporter and producer for TV and radio.
Her work has appeared on the BBC, NPR and CNN. She produced a series of stories in Colombia for the BBC, including a film and radio package about the rise of deforestation in the Amazon, and a film about a young woman diffusing landmines left after decades of civil war.

For CNN she made a short film in Senegal, shot on iPhone, about a football academy training aspiring soccer stars.

Sophie’s writing has appeared on The Guardian, Al Jazeera and VICE.

She is currently finishing a podcast about how Bristol is confronting its slave trade history, for NPR’s Code Switch.

In 2016 she did a fellowship with the International Women’s Media Foundation to report from the US-Mexico border on migration issues. Her writing has appeared on The Guardian, Al Jazeera and VICE.
