Director, Production & Development
Jameson Parker is a producer and director who currently serves as the Director of Development for Brightlight Pictures. Most recently he produced the feature film SUMMER OF ’84 starring Rich Sommer (MAD MEN), was directed by the acclaimed directing trio RKSS (TURBO KID) and premiered in the Midnight Section of Sundance ’18. His first feature film PRODIGALS had it’s world premiere at the 2017 edition of the Whistler Film Festival and was released domestically by LevelFilm. He has directed numerous music videos for local and international artists and in 2014 directed THE PRICE IS PRECISE for internet comedy giant CollegeHumor. He was an Executive Producer and director on WHITE NINJA, the first narrative series developed for Vine, starring Paul Scheer. He also served as a producer and story editor on the half hour sketch pilot THE PETER N’ CHRIS SHOW with Bell Media and Paul F. Tompkins. Jameson graduated with honors from The University of British Columbia’s film and theatre department.
Brightlight Pictures Inc. is a film and television production company based out of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Brightlight Pictures develops, packages, and produces independent feature films and television projects. Since launching in 2001, Brightlight has produced more than 100 film and television productions from WHITE NOISE and 50 DEAD MEN WALKING to COLOSSAL and SUMMER OF '84.
Brightlight Pictures is currently working on a variety of film and television projects including Firefly Lane and Julie and the Phantoms for Netflix, Upload for Amazon Studios, as well as the critically-acclaimed drama series The Good Doctor for ABC and Sony Pictures Television, which was recently named the most watched television series in the world at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in 2018.
