ABOUT THIS EPISODE: How many times have you talked yourself out of an idea because “it didn’t make sense?” because it “never has been done”? What is a calling if we have silenced it for so long, we no longer know what calls to us? What is intuition good for if we don’t learn how to use it? And how do you find your way home to yourself, believe in, trust yourself, and lead a life that makes both your inner child and wisest self proud? On the first guest episode of Figuring Sh!t Out, we explore these topics. Founder & CEO, Nya Jones shares her story on how she started and scaled a business by following her inner voice, leaving the corporate 9-5 tech world to take the bet on herself. Graduating college in the midst of the Pandemic, Nya led a journey of introspection guided through a journaling practice she had since she was a kid. She committed herself to learning about who she wanted to show up as, who she wanted to be, and fully embraced it. In order to “Dig Deeper,” she listed out intentional questions for herself to answer that would lead her to grow, heal, and eventually become the Founder of a company that empowers others to do the same. These questions, which led her to connect more deeply with herself, ended up being the blueprint of Inside then Out, a wellness brand providing tools for intentional modern living, including guided journals that allow self-care and introspection to be an effortless, connected experience in daily life. This episode follows Nya’s story and experience leaving her full time job to scale her business a couple of years post-gradHow she learned to follow her intuition and believe in herself after dealing with overthinking and perfectionismHow her journey of healing, growth, and introspection expanded her life and how she is now able to touch the lives of many others through it I get questions about how to begin journaling, how to start the process of healing, how to get to know yourself, and the answers to those questions - are often questions themselves. Questions that you must ask yourself, and that only you can answer. Here is a binded book of many of those questions, that can help you begin and a conversation with the woman who created them. I hope this conversation will inspire you the way it did me. I hope this journal will open your heart the way it did mine.
