The Berne Podcast with Dr. Sam Berne - Ein Podcast von Dr. Sam Berne - Holistic Eye Health

This podcast answers questions related to the treatment of Herpes simplex 1, astigmatism, corneal polishing, floaters, glaucoma, chromatopsia, cataracts, light therapy, and how to choose a blue-blocking and UV lenses. Question 1 0:00 - 9:17 Have you discovered a holistic approach for the treatment of herpessimplex 1 in the eye? Question 2 9:17 - 14:03 I am wondering where you suggest I purchase blue block and ultraviolet block glasses? Do you have a favorite brand/company? Question 3 14:03 - 18:35 I was listening to a previous podcast with Dr. Sam and (I can't remember the name for certain), Ari and Dr. Sam mentioned kits that he sells for improving eye health, exercises etc. I am using his MSM eye drops, ACG, and cataract drops, but would beinterested in any additional things that would help. I am suspect for glaucoma and want to do all I can to help this. Also, Dr. Berne mentioned blue blocker lenses to use. Is there somewhere that I can purchase these? Thank you very much! Question 4 18:35 - 24:10 My son has a -2.75 astigmatism. I heard you on The Green SmoothieGirls blog talking on how certain eye conditions can be corrected or improved. Is it possible to improve the vision on someone who has astigmatism? Question 5 24:10 - 28:13 Hi, I am 52 yrs. old with open angle glaucoma. I have now developed a cataract which is affecting my vision. I have a bleph drain for glaucoma which I had surgery 24 years ago. I am afraid to have the cataract removed. I only have one good eye which has all the problem as my other eye is a lazy eye. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you. Question 6 28:13 - 34:38 Hi Dr. Berne: My ophthalmologist has suggested corneal polishing (scraping) to clear up distorted vision from Map dot fingerprint dystrophy. Do you ever recommend this? I'm not sure it will fix the problem long term and I am afraid it will alter the corneal layers permanently. Over the last few years, the distortion has moved into my central vision in one eye. I have watched your Fuchs video and try and incorporate many of those suggestions. I have been using your MSM drops during the day since I last emailedyou in December 2017. It has helped reduce the appearance of my many floaters and helped reduce eye discomfort. I have also started taking your eye vitamins. I tried and occasionally still use the Vitamin A ointment, but it makes the white part of my cornea very mushy especially where I have a pinguecula, and so I am not sure if I should continue with it. I typically use Muro 128 ointment at night. Should I add the homeopathic eye drops you mention on Facebook? Do you sell that? Thanks for offering natural solutions to eye issues. Question 7 34:38 - 39:20 My husband David, who is 65, was born with achromatopsia. (no cones in his fovea). Three of the 4 children in the family he was born into, have it. He's been seen for over 40 years by Dr. Gerald Fishman at the ChicagoEye Infirmary, and currently at The Chicago Lighthouse. The only thing that has improved is that he sees slightly better with amber sunglasses.
