The Berne Podcast with Dr. Sam Berne - Ein Podcast von Dr. Sam Berne - Holistic Eye Health

0:00 - 3:23 Hi, I found your page from an interview you did with WellnessMama. It is so refreshing to hear there are things that can be done naturally to improve eyesight.  You mentioned in the interview that eye doctors use drops to paralyze the eye before the exam and then you end up with the strongest RX.  I have an upcoming eye exam, and am wondering ----- Should I request the exam with NO drops?  Thank you. 3:23 - 8:30 It is ironic at the very least, and possibly an answer to prayer that your page popped up on my newsfeed today. I have a cousin who had chemical burns to her eyes one week ago because someone was spraying lawn chemicals close to her home on a windy day. She went to a local eye doctor approximately two days after the incident and he confirmed signs of chemical burns. Steroids of some type were prescribed, but because her eyes seemed to feel worse. She stopped applying them to her eyes. A relative suggested a boric acid wash, and she is currently using that. She is quite fearful about damage to eyes and so concerned about treatment. I have been praying for help from a holistic approach. Any suggestions would be so incredibly appreciated. Thank you. 8:33 - 11:24 I have a partially clogged tear duct. My doctor prescribed Prednisolone Acetate. Used drops as directed (3 times/day for 2 wks).  About two thirds of the way through I could finally taste the med in the back of my throat which meant my doctor did not have to probe the duct. However, about one week after discontinuing the drops, my symptoms of tearing returned. My doctor stated that if the symptoms returned that he would recommend surgery. Do you have any suggestions? 11:24 - 16:14 I am an adult with amblyopia 36 years old. I’m interested in learning how to correct the vision in my right eye. I wore patches for years and got my vision to 20/30 allegedly when I was 7. Currently, my vision is very poor in my right eye and my eye doctor told me there was nothing to do. I heard your podcast with Ari Whiten and you have given me help. 16:14 - 18:01 Hi Dr. Sam, I first found out about you through Ari Whitten's podcast. I have been enjoying your videos and blog on your website. I have noticed since the longest time that I tend to use my right eye for like watching TV and things at a distance as it focuses better and my left eye for reading. Should I be worried about this and is this condition called? Any specific exercises I should work on? Thanks a bunch! 18:05 - 21:21 I have had astigmatism problems all my life due to the extreme football shape of my eyes. I had cataract surgery due to medication-induced cataracts and floater removal surgery due to sloughing of the interior of both eyes after cataract surgery. I have tri-focal glasses and I wear a prism which makes life better, but the multiple image vision from my eye shape makes seeing and reading very difficult. I use CBD oil to relax my brain so my brain doesn't shut down my right eye, and as an unexpected byproduct, my extreme dry eye has mostly resolved itself. I am very careful about keeping hydrated because that makes a huge difference in my vision. I do eye exercises that were given to me by a vision therapist and they really help as well ( I have since moved out of state and am on my own). I have switched over to a plant-based diet and nutritional supplements. I ordered your MSM drops and look forward to seeing what they do for me. Is there anything else I can do to reduce multiple images, or is this as good as it gets? 21:21 - 25:12 I have been using your MSM drops since my cataract surgery in Nov. and am extremely pleased. My 76 yr old sister has been diagnosed with Downbeat Nystagmus. She is highly allergic to sulfur and cannot use the MSM drops. Can you suggest other options? 25:12 - 27:53
