I hope people are doing well. So if you want to send me your questions, you can just type them in. I see the comments below. And I want to thank you for joining us. Good to see you tonight. So since we've got a limited time, people have emailed me some questions. So I'm going to start with those. And then if people have other questions, they can certainly write me, and I'll try to get them. So gentleman wrote me and he asked me, What's the difference between traditional cataract surgery and laser assisted surgery, you know, more and more people are opting for the laser approach, even though the laser cataract surgery is usually not covered by Medicare. And so I want to talk a little bit about the differences for this gentleman because he's contemplating surgery. And the traditional cataract surgery is one of the most common surgeries done, you know, my dad had it done. And it gave him his night vision back after about 10 years doing my protocols, he was in his mid 80s. And finally, he wanted to get the surgery. And so I recommended it to him. And I recommended it recommended to people that traditional cataract surgery is really safe. And in specific situations, sometimes the ophthalmologist can talk to you about getting the laser assisted therapy or laser assisted surgery. And so what happens in the traditional approach is that the surgeon creates a very small incision in the cornea. And then he inserts a small instrument. And this goes behind the pupil where the lens is and what surrounds the lens is the capsule. So the surgeon creates this round opening in the capsule. And then he's inserts. Usually it's kind of like a pen shaped apparatus. And it's a probe, they usually will use ultrasound and it actually breaks up the lens, he sucks it out. And then he puts in the inter ocular lens. And it's a very safe procedure and works really well. And it's the primary way that most people are getting cataract surgery. Now in terms of the laser, of course, this is the laser is used more to determine the exact location. And also, the surgeon may use the laser to create the incision in the eye. And there's more laser that's used where you don't have to use stitches. And usually the laser assisted can be used if you have moderate to high amounts of astigmatism. But generally speaking, my suggestion would be to go with the traditional approach with cataract surgery. First of all it is it is covered by insurance, where the laser assisted surgery is not. And second of all, you know, one question that people have is where do they heal faster using the laser assisted cataract surgery or the traditional? And it's about the same for both? You know, there's been research done about the efficacy of laser assisted, don't get me wrong, it's really great.
