And I want to welcome you to EyeClarity today, we have a very special show, I'm broadcasting from 11,000 feet, and brought my production crew up here, the engineer, and we have quite a view, the snow is still melting off the mountains. But it's a beautiful sunny day blue skies. And I wanted to take some questions today as part of our podcast. So let's begin with a lady who is suffering from the need for reading glasses. She's in her 40s. And she wants to know if there's anything that can be done to alleviate or avert the constant need for the plus lenses? 01:39Well, you know, when we start wearing plus lenses for reading at age 40, the first thing that happens is our eye muscles lose their resiliency and flexibility. And we start getting dependent on the glasses. In fact, if we keep wearing them, usually six months or a year later or reaching for a stronger power. So in answering the question, the first thing I want to say is that when you've had LASIK surgery, you have changed the prescription in the eye, but you haven't necessarily changed the prescription in the brain. And so you're dealing with that overlay. And this is again, where the physical therapy exercises can be helpful at bridging the LASIK surgery to the body's prescription or the brains prescription. And so the exercises and the and the advice I'm going to give will help in both instances. So number one, where the magnification that you need, but it should be the least amount without squinting or straining. And by the way, if you try to strain or squint, you know by saying I'm not going to wear reading glasses at all, that's not going to help you start wearing the least amount and go take your reading material to the drugstore, find the lowest number 125 150. And that would that's what you would use for reading and only use it for reading. Don't use it for distance, don't use it for the computer. Because whatever you need for reading, you need less prescription for the computer because it's farther away. And remember, with all your digital devices, you have the option of making the font larger, so you don't need the magnification. So that would be another strategy. Remember, the weakest amount that allows you to see with ease, don't wear too much don't wear too high of a prescription. That's number one. Number two, start in with the eye exercises. And the three that I recommend are the animal eye chart, which is an eye stretch, the yin yang peripheral vision exercise, which is a bi non ocular vision exercise,
