China Leads the Way in Average Household Spending

Six out of the top ten largest cities for household spending in 2014 are located in China. The country’s rising income levels are creating ideal conditions for spending, and businesses in these cities are likely to find growing opportunities for sales in sectors such as communication, education and health services. The top 10 cities for household spending will see their average spend expand by 5 to 10 percent in 2014, compared to a worldwide expansion of just 1.2 percent.
