Starting a Non-Profit Organization

In this episode 14th, Eric Brown and Lloyd discusses some of the key areas when starting a non-profit organization. Eric Brown is the President and Chairman of The Homeland Security Foundation of America is an agency organized and certified as public, tax-exempt under IRC 501(c)(3) with 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) status.  HSFA is not a government agency. HSFAmerica.org is located in the state of Georgia.  Our discussion will touch on Eric's experiences and challenges when starting an organization like The Homeland Security Foundation of America; what kind of  individuals are needed to start an non-profit organization and should you have mentors.  We'll talk about the first couple of years, and the struggles he encounters as the executive director.
