Ready Player One Review Edition

In this episode we’re going to talk about READY PLAYER ONE, which is based on the novel by Ernest Cline and directed by Steven Spielberg. It’s 2045, and everyone spends all their time as their avatars in a virtual reality world called the Oasis, which was created by Mark Rylance who looks a lot like Garth from Wayne’s World. Before he died, he created a game with hidden easter eggs throughout the Oasis, and anyone who collects them all will win control of the Oasis. Tye Sheridan stars as Wade, a poor teenager who lives in The Stacks (trailers stacked on top of each other) in Columbus, Ohio, and he wants to win the game and be rich and famous. Olivia Cook is Artemis, a girl Wade meets in the Oasis, and she is trying to win to prevent an evil corporation lead by Ben Mendelson from winning control over the Oasis. READY PLAYER ONE also stars Lena Waithe, Simon Pegg and all your memories from the 80s and 90s.
