Decarbonising The Mining Industry - with Julian Soles

In this episode we chat to Julian Soles, CEO of First Mode who are a global carbon reduction company focused on heavy industry and exist to solve the most dire and pressing problems for people and our planet. Julian has a background in architecture and engineering and has worked in naval/marine for most of his career before moving to the mining sector with Anglo America to be their head of technology, developing and implementing step change new technologies and practices, focusing on reducing water and energy consumption, minimizing land disturbance and waste production, preventing soil, water, and air pollution at mine sites, and conducting successful mine closure and reclamation activities. He talks about First Mode and what they are doing to help decarbonise the mining industry, specifically looking at machinery, plant and energy consumption on mine sites.
