When God Prunes You

In John 15, Jesus uses an agricultural illustration to communicate a significant truth regarding what a fruitful relationship with Him is supposed to look like. God is the Gardener, Jesus is the Vine, and we as believers are the Branches. A good gardener always prunes and trims branches in order that they become more fruitful; however, the pruning process that God does in our lives can be painful.
