Relationships 101: Marriage

The divorce rate in America is nearly 50% because marriage today is treated more like a contract than a covenant. A contract functions well when both parties are consistently meeting a certain set of expectations and conditions; however, the Bible uses stronger language to define marriage. God intended marriage to be a permanent, life-long commitment between a husband and wife. Society is all about falling in love. Falling in love is easy, but staying in love and being committed within a relationship is a different matter. In today’s message, Pastor Austin addresses 3 things – What Marriage Is, What Marriage Does, and What Marriage Needs – in order to better prepare us for marriage with the goal of making it last.
