INTRODUCTION: I’m Not Ashamed

Nearly 2,000 years ago, a man named Paul wrote a letter to a church in Rome – the largest city of the known world at that time. This letter would spread beyond the walls of that church and go on to change the course of history through men like Martin Luther and John Wesley. But why exactly did Paul write this letter, how has it carried so much power with it throughout the centuries, and does it still have relevancy for us today?
