Commandments 1 and 2: No Other Gods & No Idle Idols

Israel was surrounded by pagan gods of other cultures that had, unfortunately, influenced them away from the True and Living God. Today, our culture is similar - very pluralistic and polytheistic as well. We must examine our own hearts for ways that we have allowed false gods to enter in by asking ourselves: "Who or what in my life have I allowed to rule over me and sit enthroned upon the seat of my heart?"
