The Dans cover another packed week in sports law. Deshaun Watson's attorney Rusty Hardin made some comments about Watson's meeting with the NFL and they could be detrimental. (2:35) The Washington Commanders are buying some property in Virginia. (12:50) It appears the Commanders are looking to relocate and have a publically funded stadium with a sports betting license. Jon Gruden's case versus the NFL had their hearing on the motion to compel arbitration. (20:40) The judge denied the NFL's motion to compel and the case will stay in the courts. A.J. Perez (@byajperez) joins the Dans to discuss the Gruden hearing from his perspective inside the courtroom. (31:00) A.J. discusses what the Judge said during the hearing and the reasoning for the denial of the motion to compel arbitration. The NFL had each team pay $7.5M for the St. Louis Rams relocation lawsuit and the issue now is whether Stan Kroenke will have to repay the $232.5M back to the owners. (52:53) Does Kroenke have a good argument based on the indemnity agreement on why he shouldn't have to repay the settlement amount? *** Have a topic you want to write about?
