The Role of the Stock Exchange in Greening the Economy
Julia Hoggett, CEO of the LSE, discusses voluntary carbon markets and the role of stock exchanges in the green economy. She believes that "the only way we get to net zero and stay there is if the entirety of the economy moves on a global basis." Going forward, she lists her three chief objectives to be: o creating better ESG and climate disclosure and data, o growing the green economy, and o supporting the just transition to low carbon and net-zero economy.
