Sluggish exports continue to drag on manufacturing

A fall in export demand slowed the recovery in the sector in June, according to the CBI’s latest Industrial Trends Survey, although output growth and total orders are still above their long-run averages. Anna Leach, the CBI’s Head of Economic Analysis, discusses the findings.
