It is the sequel to Scream (2022) and the sixth installment in the Scream film series. The plot follows a new Ghostface killer, who begins targeting the survivors of the "Woodsboro legacy murders" in New York City. Much of the cast from the 2022 film returned alongside directors Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett. The role of New York for this performance is in the sure hands of Montreal, Canada, home of that heart-stealing crooner Gino Vannelli. Neve Campbell did not reprise her role as Sidney Prescott due to a pay dispute, making this the first Scream film not to feature her.
